I originally picked this up for bookclub, but I didn’t attend it.

I loved the book references in this book. It was a romance, and, as usual with romances, we knew how the story would end, but not how we’d get there.

I would recommend this cute romance to anyone who loves bookstores and the process of reading, writing and publishing, and who loves reading romances.

Chapter by Chapter

As always, I have multiple books started. I always am working slowly toward the end of a book, and usually keeping track of it on Goodreads.

This year, I have a new technique. One chapter at a time. I read a chapter, then switch media, and then repeat. This way, I can get audiobooks, paper books, and Kindle books completed in record time. In theory.

So far, this is working. I have finished several books and am making progress in others. I keep track of if they are for fun, for bookclub, or for an author talk. I have also become a Beta reader and an ARC for multiple authors. I love having advance copies of books to review.

I’m ahead in my annual challenge count, so I hope to keep it that way most of the year, without stressing myself out and while enjoying what I am reading.

I loved it! I had this book sitting on my TBR list for ages and finally picked it up because a bookclub was about to read it. I didn’t make the deadline or the bookclub meeting, but I still felt it was worth reading.

There were so many funny lines in it. I found myself laughing out loud so many times. I don’t mean to say that it was a fluffy comedic book, because it did have a lot of touching moments in it.

I loved it and would recommend it highly.

I loved this book. The illustrations are great and it attempts to bend gender roles a bit. Who says that the girl always has to do the household chores?

I love that the characters take over the story, leaving the narrator confused and frustrated. It all works out in the end, but not in the way that we think it will.

Spring Break 2022

This week is Spring Break. I have been informed by an instructor to use the time for rest, and not for catch-up. I don’t know how to do that, I think.

I did rest a lot yesterday, but I also wrote and submitted a paper that was mentally weighing me down.

I have bookclub the next two weeks, and I am leading both. I have finished neither book.

I am organizing a dinner and a lunch with friends. We are adding a movie to the lunch event. I’m dealing with head counts and the movie theater hasn’t released show times yet.

I have a midterm to work on this week, due the week we return to classes. I haven’t finished the book, although I have a good idea about how it will go.

I am listening to lectures from an instructor who has been tardy about posting them. They aren’t difficult, but he does go way off on a tangent with his thoughts.

I am mentally working on a final project for a class. I am mostly done with it in my head. I need to get it written out. I also have a creative writing due in a few weeks and I’m thinking about that.

I am mentally packing for an upcoming weekend vacation. I am hoping I don’t forget anything or overpack.

Last but very much not least, I have to finish up the reviews of the books I finished in the last couple of weeks and I need to post them here. Most of the work is done, but I just need to follow through with it.

I haven’t taken time off work during this time off school, but it shouldn’t make a difference. I can handle it. Graduation’s light is at the end of the tunnel. I have applied and paid for it already. I just have to do the work.
