I am glad that I didn’t pay for this book. It was a discussion between a man and a woman about how they met and broke up and met and broke up. Blah blah blah. Great. Something boring happened every five years, but it wasn’t enough to float a whole story.
Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn

This was a cute story about a one night stand turned more. It was worth a read.
I’m glad that the conflict in the story was not a typical conflict, so it made it a little different. It was perfect for a little light reading as a reset.
Lemonade by Tom Ashton

I picked this up as a short book to finish my annual challenge goal. It was an interesting story, but it didn’t end as I expected it to.
It was worth a read.
The Set Up by Falguni Kothari

Cute romance story. Unfortunately, I listened to it on audiobook and the narrator’s pronunciation of the female lead character’s name threw me off. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I had read the name for myself.
I would recommend the book, though. Just not as audio.
Boyfriends of Dorothy by Wednesday Martin

I found this story interesting but I wasn’t sure where it was going. I’m happy that the author found a husband who understood her friendships, but I feel that the ending kind of fell flat.
This was the second book in a series, and I believe that I felt the same way about the first.
Oh. What. Fun. by Chandler Baker

Mom’s just being Mom, right? I understand this book better than I should have. No one sees what Mom actually does, until she’s not there.
I enjoyed this book, but it was a little far-fetched.
It was a fun Christmas-themed book, even though I read it when it wasn’t Christmas season.
I recommend it as a fun, non-thought-provoking book.
The Hiccupotamus by Aaron Zenz

Such a cute little story about a hippo with hiccups. How do you get rid of these hiccups? Enlist your friends!
I love the illustrations and the nonsense rhyming in the story. It would make a great bedtime story.
The Guncle by Steven Rowley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved it! I had this book sitting on my TBR list for ages and finally picked it up because a bookclub was about to read it. I didn’t make the deadline or the bookclub meeting, but I still felt it was worth reading.
There were so many funny lines in it. I found myself laughing out loud so many times. I don’t mean to say that it was a fluffy comedic book, because it did have a lot of touching moments in it.
I loved it and would recommend it highly.
Pink Is Not a Color by Lindsay Ward

Pink is having a hard time figuring out what she is. She starts to think she isn’t a color because she doesn’t fit in the rainbow. She does a lot of searching before she realizes that she’s important.
The illustrations are cute and go well with the story.
Nerdy Babies: Weather by Emmy Kastner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a cute, very basic, scientific book for children. This book is about weather and the descriptions are simplified for a child. It gives enough information to satisfy basic curiosity, but leaves enough out to allow a child to do more research elsewhere.
